Krav Maga (Hebrew for "Contact Combat" ) was developed by Imi Lichtenfeld in the late 1940's. The system was created for the Israeli Defense Forces and built off of principles that were easy to practice in real life scenarios. Due to the founder's wide range of martial art expertise the art consisted of blending elements of Boxing , Judo, Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai; therefore focusing on elements of striking, throwing and grappling. The art, in it's application can be learned fairly quickly but never mastered as it is constantly evolving to suite the environments in which it is trained in.
In the Warrior's Krav Maga affiliation, founder Nick Hughes and local Instructor Frass Azab pride the team in being open minded and well rounded. Not only does the program teach the self defense and combative side of the art but, it also puts members in real life training scenarios that take the drills on the mat to a new level. In addition, the affiliation also institutes a curriculum for ranking based on read, written and fitness standards which are foreign to most other programs. If fitness, physical strength, mental evolvement and self defense are goals in your life; we invite you to come speak with Frass Azab for more information on our program.
