Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art focusing on ground combat techniques utilizing joint locks, chokes, and ground control. The overall fighting strategy of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is designed to equip a physically smaller or weaker individual with an effective method of defending against a larger and stronger attacker.
Warriors Academy KC is a proud member of the Renato Tavares Association, the largest BJJ association in Kansas City. Our lineage ties directly to Mitsuyo Maeda and Carlos Gracie. The Renato Tavares Association is overseen by Master Renato Tavares, a true legend of BJJ. The Warriors Academy BJJ program is overseen by Ethan Benda.
We offer classes for all levels, from children to seasoned competitors. Drop-ins are always welcome.
